Considering that many “poor” (tm) people live in rural, hot southern places, I find it absolutely appalling that only 78% have air conditioning. Have these assholes ever gone a day in their lives without air conditioning? Where I live, elderly people who live on assistance die every year because they can’t afford an air conditioner, and they literally roast to death in their homes.
Also, I don’t really understand the whole coffee maker thing. Like, is that supposed to be a luxury item? We got a coffee maker recently for $6. Huns, poor people get groggy and tired in the morning too. I mean shit, I was homeless and we still had a coffee maker packed up in our car after we were evicted from our apartment. Does that mean I wasn’t poor anymore? Sorry that paying $6 for a coffee maker and $5 every couple of weeks for some coffee is considered a luxury these days, when you consider those reporters are drinking Starbucks coffee with classy creamers and calorie-free sweeteners.
I don’t know why I’m even trying. Using reasoning and logic when talking about Fox news is a joke in and of itself.
Also, how many people use their air conditioning all the time? In all of the (poor) households I live in we have to limit our air usage so as to keep the bill affordable. A lot of times things like Refrigerators and Coffee Makers my family always passed down. We had the same refrigerator since before I was BORN, then my family was able to get a new refrigerator (me at the age of 21) when a relative died.
“POOR” HOUSEHOLDS
86.2% HAVE A BED
“POOR” HOUSEHOLDS
92.5% HAVE A TOILET
“POOR” HOUSEHOLDS
89.4% HAVE INDOOR LIGHTING
it’s like
you people are acting like this shit is luxurious
and you’re showing top of the line shit and a fully stocked fridge
when in reality
it’s more like fifteen year old refrigerators with barely anything inside
window unit air conditioning that only runs for half a day and makes horrible sounds
and a coffee maker someone gave you when you got married eight years ago
